I was open water certified in 1995 and I have been diving ever since. I have dived all over Texas, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico and Hawaii. Some of my favorite dive spots are Bonaire, Cozumel and the rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. My favorite underwater critter is the hammerhead shark.

My whole family dives. My wife Lavina has been diving since college and loves to help with classes. The Andaman Sea is her favorite place to dive. My kids are PADI certified Rescue divers. They both started diving when they were eight as PADI Seals and were open water certified at ten. I love teaching kids. I have taught the open water class for most of my son’s Boy Scout troop and we are all headed to the BSA Seabase in June. Diving is a great family activity.

I have been teaching scuba for seven years and I am a PADI Master Instructor. I am also an avid underwater photographer and I love photographing the undersea world. I teach underwater photography among many other PADI specialties. I am also an Emergency First Response Instructor and teach CPR and first aid.

Currently, I am working on my getting my US Coast Guard Captains License and I keep a boat in Corpus Christi. We love to go diving on the rigs in the Gulf. The rigs are covered with hard corals and reef fish. These attract bigger fish and so on. Just last spring my son and I saw hammerhead shark. We always see plenty of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. The dolphins love to play in our bow wake to and from the rigs. The rigs are covered with barracuda, tarpon and snapper. Occasionally whale sharks are sited on the rigs.
