Get Certified!
Take a Scuba Lesson with the PADI Open Water Diver Course and get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
What You Learn
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:- Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!
Prerequisites
- 10 years of age
- No medical conditions or medical release from physician

Course Information
- All SCUBA equipment and video rental is included with course fee
- 5mm rental suits are included with course fee
- Open Water Manual, eRDPML, log book, student record file, and video rental are included in the course fee.
- Student receive a $50 rebate towards the purchase of snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots).
- Students receive a 10% discount on all equipment purchases
- Any student who answers "Yes" to any question on the medical form will need to get a physician's approval before starting class (see page 2 of medical form)
- Park entry fees are paid by the students directly to the dive park on the day of their open water dives ($60 for Aquarena, $30 for Windy Point)
- Sign up for the Advanced class by the end of your Open Water class and receive free gear rental for the Advanced class plus a 20% discount on the course fee.
Open Water Course 
- Course takes 1 to 2 weeks to complete
- Certification cards are available immediately upon completion
- Evening classes meet Monday - Thursday, 6:30pm - 10pm, plus one weekend for the Open Water dives which take about 4 hours each day.
- Weekend classes meet 2 weekends. The first weekend is 9am - 5pm for class/pool, the second weekend is the Open Water dives which take about 4 hours each day.
Private Lessons 
Private lessons are designed for individuals with extremely challenging schedules and for those that want to work at their own pace during all phases of instruction. Classroom, pool, and open water checkouts are conducted at the convenience of the participant and can be completed in multiple weeks or in as few as 3 days.

Executive Course
The executive option offers private class work and pool sessions in combination with a regularly scheduled checkout date with other students. This option is designed for those that want to get certified but have scheduling challenges with evenings or consecutive weekends. Classroom and pool work can be completed during the week and only one weekend is needed to complete the open water checkouts. The executive option also allows participants to work at their own pace for classroom and pool instruction.
