Harry Ullmann scubaland

Congratulations to Harry Ullmann, Scubaland’s newest Divemaster!

Jack Ryan was Harry’s Divemaster Instructor. Harry was originally certified in 1970. As Harry tells it…

“In August of 2008 my Dad was taking us on a cruise which included a stop in Roatan. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to make a dive there, so I figured I'd best brush up on my diving skills as it had been about thirty years since I had done any real diving. Once I got started again, I couldn't stop. I shopped around all over Austin for dive shops while I was trying to select where I wanted to re-certify and buy new gear. Scubaland carried the gear I was most interested in (I've always been a Scubapro bigot.) and the people there made me feel at home. John Lindsey at the Lake store was very interested in my museum pieces I still had from 1975 (see photo) and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Now that I have completed my Divemaster certification, I'm most interested in just diving. I want to help out with classes as much as my schedule allows and I'm still continuing my diving education. I've got to finish up a navigation dive to complete the requirements for Master SCUBA Diver and I have a Public Safety Diver class scheduled in June. I'm also looking forward to a trip to the Flower Gardens in July.”
