Lynn Haag

Lynn Haag is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and active instructor at Scubaland Adventures in Austin, Texas. Since becoming an Open Water Instructor in July 2024, he has taught more than 80 classes and certified over 100 divers, building a reputation for clear instruction, strong safety focus, and a passion for helping students succeed in the water.

Lynn began diving in 2009 and continued progressing through advanced training, completing his Divemaster in Cozumel, Mexico in 2015. After that, he pursued additional technical training to better understand diving systems, equipment, and safer diving practices. That journey led him to become an instructor, with a focus on helping divers build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and truly understand what they are doing underwater.

He completed his Instructor Development in Utila, Honduras, earning his Open Water Instructor certification on July 15, 2024. In 2025, he achieved Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and in 2026 was recognized as an Elite Instructor, reflecting his continued commitment to high-quality training and student development.

Lynn brings experience across both recreational and technical diving, and he enjoys working with a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced divers. His teaching style focuses on keeping things simple, efficient, and practical, helping students feel comfortable while building real skills they can rely on.

He has taught in a variety of environments including Texas, Bonaire, Mexico, and South Padre Island, and has diving experience around the world, including Fiji, Baja California, Catalina Island, Florida cave systems, and multiple liveaboard trips throughout the Caribbean and Central America.
