Refresher and PADI ReActivate Courses
Scheduling Options
Standard courses normally take 3 to 4 hours and are conducted on Saturday mornings.
Have a difficult schedule or would you just prefer to work one-on-one with your Instructor? That's easy enough. We will create a private class for you and your Instructor on a schedule that is convenient for you.
Open Water Diver Refresher
The SCUBA refresher course is conducted at our training facility on Anderson Lane. Some time is spent in the classroom reviewing and refreshing your knowledge of SCUBA diving. Most of the time is spent in our in-door heated pool reviewing basic skills, practicing bouyancy control, and refamiliarizing yourself with SCUBA equipment.
Our private course option allows you to pick any available pool time to receive one on one instruction.
Our Instructors and Divemasters will work with you to tailor your experience so that you get exactly what you need to be prepared for your next SCUBA trip.
I haven't been diving in years, what should I do?
If it's been a long time since you've been underwater and you want more of a refresher than an hour of classroom time and a couple of hours in the pool will provide, ask us about auditing a PADI Open Water Diver course. This is a great option for people that want the latest information available about SCUBA diving and would like some confined water (pool) practice and some open water practice. We'll put you through the same course as an Open Water Diver.
The audit option is a great way to go for people who are getting a family member or friend into SCUBA diving for the first time and need to update their own knowledge and skills. The biggest benefits are that you and your new dive buddy will be on the same page, have practiced all the skills the same way, and will have completed 4 open water training dives under the supervision of our dive professionals.
PADI ReActivate
Haven’t been diving lately and want a quick scuba refresher?
PURCHASE ReACTIVATE
The ReActivate™ program is the perfect way to update your dive skills and knowledge from the PADI Open Water Diver Course before jumping back into the water. Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, ReActivate is personalized for you: You conveniently review scuba concepts on your tablet, mobile device or computer, then go diving with a PADI Professional.
It’s quick and easy, and a good way to prepare for your next PADI course or get ready for a dive vacation. The best part is, divers who complete both the knowledge and inwater skill refresher receive a replacement certification card with a ReActivated date on it.
Any certified diver who wants a refresher or pre-travel update should ReActivate. Dive shops appreciate seeing a recent ReActivate date on your certification card because it means you’re ready to dive in.
If you want to learn more about diving in a new area or in different dive conditions, also ask about completing a Discover Local Diving experience at a local dive site.
If you can’t access ReActivate, or can’t access in your language your PADI Instructor can still complete a scuba skills review with you.
Your PADI certification does not expire. Participation in PADI ReActivate™ is not mandatory, but recommended as an easy way to refresh your foundational scuba safety knowledge and skills if you haven’t been diving in a while. Divers who complete both the knowledge and in-water skill refresher receive a replacement certification card with a “ReActivated thru” date on it.
Consider combining your PADI Reactivate, pool refresher and a Discover Local Diving program to add a couple of open water dives for the complete experience!
