Lynn Monnat
PADI Divemaster
Lynn was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i. She enjoyed the beautiful oceans of Hawai'i throughout her childhood swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, etc. and continues to do so on yearly trips back home to visit family and friends. With the encouragement of her husband George (also a PADI Divemaster), Lynn finally obtained her PADI Open Water certification in 2011 by Scubaland Master Instructor Michael Lutz. Lynn quickly fell in love with SCUBA and is thankful she can now enjoy the Hawaiian oceans and underwater world on a whole new level. Lynn then obtained her PADI Divemaster Certification in 2014 by Mike Lutz. Lynn became a Divemaster to expand her dive skills and to share her love of SCUBA by helping others develop as divers.
Lynn completed her PADI Advanced Open Water certification with former Scubaland instructor Jack Ryan in 2011 and was trained by Mike Lutz in six specialties (Enriched Air, Search and Recovery, Night, Wreck, Deep, and Dry Suit) through PADI Master Scuba Diver in 2011. Lynn is very familiar with diving in Central Texas and all around Oahu and is always happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. She is also familiar with diving around Texas and diving oil rigs off the Texas coast, the Big Island of Hawaii, and Okinawa. One of her favorite dives is the Manta Dive in Kona, Hawai'i.
